18/10: finally my 21st birthday is here :D
my dearies actually planned to surprise me because initially they told me they weren't free on that day except for teng. so in order to carry on the surprise, teng accompanied me for the whole day at vivo before meeting up with the girls at dempsey's jumbo seafood. their plan actually got kinda 'exposed' because when me and teng were watching movie in vivo, ling sms-ed teng just when i was using her phone. LOL. but of cos i didnt say anything and just return teng's phone. hahaha.

to be honest, im really touched by what my dearies have done for me. really really touched by their efforts and plans for trying to give me a surprise (: from the very first initial chalet surprise which they planned, but it got messed up because i said i had a wedding going on and stuffs, to this actual celebration with them, im really thankful to have them in my life (: we may not always be constantly seeing and sticking to one other like what most friends do, but somehow there's always this emotional bond in us that brings us together. there may be alot of ups and downs btw all of us since we met when we were all just 13 yrs old, but i know no matter what, problems will still be solved and we will always share our tears and joy together. because it's never easy to find friends whom u can treat them almost as if they are like ur real sisters. (: probably because im an only child, and my close friends would know im actually not as close with my family as what others thought may be. so thats why my friends have always play a huge part in my life; especially this group of jie meis, whom despite fighting countless of times with them since sec sch, yet we are still together, sharing all the happiness and beautiful memories (: no words can describe my love for them (: although i never believe in this word 'forever', yet somehow in my heart, i really wish to see this word come true with u dearies; to make this friendship last for a life time (:

and i just realised, holland v is full of my 'drunk' memories. the first time was definitely a bad one; one that i wish i would never have to remember it again, too many tears and unhappiness. although this other drunk experience in holland v is the first time which i vomitted after drinking (especially just after one bottle of corona), i will always remember it because i spent my most memorable birthday with my dearies (:

mood swings are here again. guess it's due to the nearing of exams. just feeling tired, with all the emotions bottling up. everyone's asking why am i not having my 21st birthday party. all i can say is i've alot of other considerations other than money. honestly speaking, birthday has never been that important to me personally. maybe because i've never made it a must to celebrate my birthday every year. moreover, 21st birthday to me is just a number between 20 and 22. nonetheless, im still grateful to my cousins and friends who make efforts in celebrating for me. im really thankful (:

okay now i finally know why my qing ai de iris cant upload photos onto her blog. it's blogger that's having problems because i cant upload mine too. lol. i have a lot of overdue photos; picnic and ktv with my dearies, lian hong's birthday, paulo and my qing ai de sze peh's birthday etc etc. and some others which i haven't receive from peeps. shall upload them all at once when i've them.

anyway, i've received my free laptop and modem from singnet; am using it now. the fonts and keyboard are really kinda small for me. think my hands are too big. still trying to get used to it. hahaha. but it's better than nothing, and alot better than my old laptop that is due to retire. plus, i don't have extra money to buy a new one. so im really glad and appreciate that i've a brand new laptop for my last sem (: till then, take care peeps. steph misses each and everyone of you (:

supposed to be having tuition now but im down with diarrhoea. so here i am ranting.

life now = life-less. it's nothing but work and tuition. and i've one more student now. kinda regret it because usually tuition would burn away half of my sat because kovan is damn far. now that i have 2 students, it's gonna burn away the whole of my sat. and my other days would be in fatface. so my only so called free days would be my off days from fatface. anyway im transferred to suntec's outlet for now, no idea when im gonna be back in tanglin. i seriously hope the IT show in suntec will end asap because the traffic to and fro suntec is so congested. i took 2 hours to reach home just because of jams. it's super frustrating, especially when im so tired after work.

and because of the retail hrs at work, my lifestyle is damn unhealthy now. my daily dinner is equivalent to other people's supper. i only have one break at work and by the time im home, wash up and stuff, it's near or past midnight. so to make things easy, i'll just have tidbits or maggi. then i'll fall asleep because im too tired to stay up for 2 hrs to wait for the food to be digested. this is not helping my problem of indigestion. im getting more bloated and fatter each day. i guess i can only resume my 'normal' lifestyle when sch resumes next month.

anyway, my hk trip is pending now because of the worsening of H1N1. damn upset about it because i want a getaway so badly. the more i want it, the more i can't get it. first, my taiwan trip was gone. then, my hk trip also had problems with the final confirmation initially because my cousins had some leave problems. just when everything was finally solved, and i planned all the stuffs so that i can book the trip, the problem of H1N1 stepped in. seriously feeling like fuck now. maybe i should just backpack and travel alone. my mind is too occupied with too many things. so damn fucked up. arghhhhhhhhhh.

alright, enough of my rants. one last thing before i go, congrats to vincent who's commissioning today. finally an officer after so long. congrats buddy (:

finally finish watching the korean version of boys over flowers. didnt have the time to watch all that i want because my work's schedule was rather packed. seriously, it was quite tiring because i haven't been working for more than a month. luckily this show kinda became my motivation. i told myself as long i finish my work, i'll be able to finish watching the whole show.

anyway, i really like this korean version compared to taiwan and japan's version. i think it's the best among all 3. no wonder it's such a big success. and i think my tear duct is so damn powerful. even though i've known this show thoroughly, and i knew what exactly would happen next, i just can't stop crying when i watched it. and i cried the most for this korean version. now i finally understand why shy told me i would cry real badly when i've watched the macau part. that part was seriously so damn sad. and i already cried when i was only watching epi 5. when i finally watched the part on macau, i cried like nobody's business. lol. i guess it's been real long since i cried so badly while watching a show; although im always tearing so easily whenever i watch any sad stuffs. lol. anyway, that was really a good recommendation from my friends. peeps can try watching it, especially girls. doubt anyone would really comment negatively about it because up till now, everyone has given thumbs up for this show. hahaha.

supposed to watch prisonbreak now because season 4 is ending. im left with the last 2 epi. but the loading speed of the video is making me faling asleep. so i've decided to give up and head to bed since i've work tmr. shall try again tmr. plus im darn tired now. had a very tedious wk because of work, and also a damn long day today due to tuition and stuffs.

this is yet another wordy, emotional and boring entry. basically, it's just for me to vent out my feelings.

supposed to be indulged in my SQ notes, but here i am; ironically tearing in front of my laptop. am i stressed? i doubt so. im just feeling tired, and so so heavy; physically and mentally. i seem to have lost all those so-called 'perseverance' and 'determination' which i used to have when i was in sec sch and poly. the way i used to tell myself that i can and i must do it, and i would really push myself to the max. but i cant seem to do that now.

started to question myself; is this what i really want? is this what i want to do? i chose marketing because i thought i liked it, and not because i just want a cert. but apparently, things started to appear that way as time goes by. i dun like whatever that im doing now; advertising stuffs, market research, consumer behaviour etc. initially i chose marketing is because i wish to do events if i had a chance. but theoretically, there's nothing related. im just seeing advertising everywhere. and i realised i kinda miss service and hospitality stuffs; which was what i did during my poly days. maybe im really a more 'service' person; plus my part time job is in retail. and maybe also because i miss those happening days in sch. cant imagine i was such an ' enthu' student back then in NP, as compared to now in SIM. everyday it's just going to sch for 3 hrs and back home. if not, it will be work and tuition. i even start to wonder, if continuing my studies was the right choice.

whatever that im doing now, i just feel it's so commercialized. and stupidly, im contradicting myself. because im a business student, so in a way, things are to be commercialised. sometimes i just wish for things to be simple. i just want a simple life. in the past, i did dreamed of becoming someone that's really capable, and high up in the corporate ladder. but as the years go by, and so many things happening around me, i realised i dun want all these anymore. because climbing up the corporate ladder is definitely involving lots of conflicts and politics; which i already had enough in my 21 yrs of life. and i know it's never-ending, these stuffs are just gonna continue till the day i die. sometimes i would wonder i might probably end up in IMH, or somewhere which i dun even know i might be. but for now, i just want simplicity. and that was also the reason why i tried to enrol for sociology in NTU back then. i was hoping for something probably different. but too bad, my grades werent good enough. and it was only until i worked for the HSBC event, i saw how the event was run and stuff, then the interest that i had for marketing kinda came back to me. and that's how i ended up choosing marketing. but i probably wont find things any better even if i had chosen management.

people have been telling me not to be so hard on myself. am i really that hard on myself? i dun think so actually. i guess im just leading my life the way that it has been since the day i was borned. i've learnt not to self-pity; because there are too many things in life which we dun have a say in. there are so many things which we can't choose from. and there are too many things in life which just dun turn out the way u want them to be; even if u have tried ur best. the only thing we can do is to be strong, and stay true to your own self. maybe there is some way to change certain things in life. i think i might spend my whole life searching, and probably wont find it. i dunno. or maybe someday i will.

the one thing i've learnt is to accept things as they are, and to move on even if it takes to be alone. because no one has the ability to stay by your side forever. people still need to lead their own lives no matter what has happened to you. and i guess, i've also learned to be immune to certain things. nowadays i dun really care much anymore. i just lead my life the way it has to be, without losing myself.

anyway, i know whatever that i've said about my studies, i cant blame anyone; i shouldnt, and dun have a right to complain. because i made the choice myself. and my parents loan-ed my sch fees just to put me in SIM to study. i know im being very irresponsible here by saying all these bullshit above. and i know i should treasure the chance that im able to study in Uni, because there are others who want to but they can't. all these i know. but just let me be for now. im just exhausted. i just want to find some place to vent out my emotions.

like i always do, im gonna be fine after awhile, then i'll be back to the usual me again. and i guess im starting to feel better after venting out so much (:

anyway went for jin hong's 21st bday on sat. was at senstosa. weather was damn hot. but i guess everything was alright though. was kinda surprised when zw called to go for jh's bday. cos im not that close with jh actually. lol. but everything was rather okay. left at 10 with yl cos of exams. and i guess we miss out alot of fun cos of the sabo-ing part. saw their pics in facebook. quite grossed actually. hahaha. but i guess the boys had lots of fun.

had a rather long chat with dearies jun and ling just now. talking abt things that have been happening lately. well i guess, there were alot of tears? lol. whatever it is, we are gonna sit down and have a heart to heart chat after exams. it's been real long since we've done that. i bet it's definitely years ago. these recent years, all of us have been busy with our own lives.. i guess we've kinda neglected each other in some ways.. so it's time to do some catching up.. it might be kinda late. but isnt it better to be late than never? (:

just wanna say, no matter how things have changed and turned out to be, i really love u girls so much so much. if i hadn't met u girls, if i hadn't been in yuhua, if i hadnt been in e4.. i guess im still that old steph whom doesnt open up to others.. the old steph whom doesnt believe in others.. the old steph who might still be stuck in her own world believing in nothing except for herself.

i know things have changed.. situations.. environments etc etc.. i know things arent the same anymore, no matter how i wish i can go back to the past. in life, one has to learn to move on. but like what ling said, it's the magical number 8.. and no matter how many friends i've met later on in life, the magical number 8 will always be something that's only between us and no one else.. everything that we've shared.. our tears.. our laughters.. our hardwork.. even our fights and quarrels.. these are memories that only belong to us.. and also something that others can never take away from us.. (:

well.. after saying so much, im suddenly lost for words. dunno what to say anymore. guess it must be due to the tired and puffy eyes. and my overworked brain that's drained from exams. lol. think it's time for me to head to bed. tmr still gotta meet my dearie jun, whom has become my pretty look alike now because she chopped off her hair; just like i did last june. haha.

last but not least, my loves all know that im one who's very bad at expressing myself; which always make me ended up getting misunderstood by others. lol. so i shall keep it short and sweet. 我爱你们 (:

today's BE paper is a killer. out of the 60 marks, i only know how to do 10 marks, which is bentham's calculus. the rest of the questions i was really totally lost. i was cursing and swearing like nobody's business when i came out of the exam hall. this is first time i felt so helpless for an exam. seriously dunno which of the philosophers' theories can be used. hate these philosophers man. and i dunno why should we study abt these stuffs in the first place. totally irrelevant to our course of study. now im seriously worried abt failing this module. thanks to RMIT's regulation of having to pass both assignment and exam paper, then we are considered pass for the whole module. cannot imagine having to fail. just the repeat fee alone for one module is $1300. dunno abt the miscellaneous fees etc. arghhhhhh. money money money :(

saw my pretty look alike jun, and dearie chun just now. (: they were going to their friend samantha's place to play mahjong and were at greenridge having dinner. so jun called and asked if i wanna join them. even though im having BE paper tmr, i decided to join them since dinner wouldnt take too long. even though it was just a short while, less than an hour, im really happy to see them. seeing them never fails to brighten up my day (:

no longer going to taiwan. i guess maybe i'll join my cousins to go hong kong or bangkok, or maybe some other plans. too many things are happening at one go. and i've got so many things on my mind now, but i've no time to bother about all that because exams are here. plus, im getting sick again. as for now, all i know is i need a getaway. shall see how things go then.

on a lighter note, i've got a newborn baby cousin. congrats to my uncle and aunt (:
