In three words, I can sum up everything I learned about life;
it goes on.

sales at the store is seriously crazy. imagine seeing big swarms of people coming in immediately after the store is opened. it's not like the store is only open for 5 min and it's going to close. LOL. really admire those people waiting outside the store just to wait for it to open and start the sale. yesterday and today were supposed to be the cardmembers day, so it's like all their members are rushing in for the sale. just yesterday, the queues at the cashier never stop since 1030am when the store was opened, all the way till 1030pm when the store closed. it's so damn scary can. it's really like no end to the queues. and the worse thing is when customers pay for items from other departments, and the items either hav no price tags or the bar code can't work, i'll hav to run all over the store to just look for the prices and stuffs. and for goodness sake, the store has got 6 levels. lols. i guess yesterday i was real unlucky, i kept having problems with nursery items, and they were on level 6! and im at level one cosmetics. -.- my filipino colleague was telling me, 'ur countrymen work very hard, but they shop even harder', and i burst out laughing. but i guess it's rather true??? hahaha. and yesterday, i only managed to go home at 12am! my goodness! luckily my manager allowed me to claim cab fare. phew. but working from opening till closing is really tiring; especially when it's sales now. by the time im home, im alrdy like half dead?? lols. and i tink the store is starting their gss sales for the public tml?? it's public holiday! oh man. im gonna be dead. no wonder my colleagues say sales time is almost equivalent to fighting a war for the staffs. hahaha.
anyway, im seeing more and more familiar faces at work. first, i saw yixiu (jun's cousin; not yixiu from NP); she's lancome's promoter. then yesterday, i saw george from my yr 2 IS class, he's also working temp under robinsons. and today, i saw zhi wei from my yr 3 HK study trip; he's also working temp under robinsons. but zhi wei wasnt friendly at all. we saw each other and when i was about to say hi, he just walked away as if he doesnt know me. -.- nvm, it doesnt matter anyway. shall do the same thing when i see him next time. LOL. sounds so childish huh. hahaha.
alright, im going off now. gonna recharge myself for work! cos tml labour day i've got to work from opening till closing again! hopefully i dun hav to claim cab fare again; i still prefer taking the bus home. (: Labels: work

today's my first day of work at centrepoint's robinsons. and im allocated to level one's cosmetics department. (: initially had the feeling of being 'cheated' cuz my real job scope was different from the job scope described to me by the HR. the HR told me that i've to do sales, replenish stocks, housekeeping etc; normal sales stuffs la. and abit of cashiering as well. but, my real job scope is mainly cashiering; something which i personally dun enjoy doing. cuz im so bad with numbers. lols. but i guess i've to learn to be contented? other departments have to do housekeeping and some other stuffs whereas cosmetics department is solely cashiering. cuz all the cosmetics have their own brand promoters to replenish their own stocks and take care of their own products. so the workload in cosmetics department is lighter as compared to other departments. hmmmm... well well, nvm! i shall conquer the cashier machine! i can do it! hahaha! :D Labels: work

i saw another familiar face at training today! this time, it's brandon! brandon's my sec sch fren. so coincidental. yesterday i saw george, and today i saw brandon! hahaha. oh ya, talking abt the name brandon, i just remembered i saw brendan yesterday at amk hub. sounds confusing??? brendan is from NP, and brandon is from YHSS. and brendan is still as slim as ever. hahaha. :P anyway back to the topic on work's training, brandon told me that he's at raffles city instead of centrepoint. thumbs down. :( but im still glad that i managed to catch up with him today; haven seen him for ages. and tomorrow's gonna be my first day of work at centrepoint robinsons. hopefully everything will be alright there. just wanna spend these 4 wks there short and sweet. wish me luck peeps! :D anyway, passed by s'pore flyer just now with my cousin and we decided to go in and have a look. although there's nothing much in there, but looking up at it during night time is quite beautiful though. had a sudden urge of taking a ride on it. but i've got serious fear of heights. those who know me well will know that im really serious abt this, and most probably they have experienced my degree of fear for heights. lols. hmmm.. alright, shall not blog any further. just wanna end this entry with a song "i'll remember you" from No Secrets. happened to hear this song a few days ago, and i realised i haven listen to it for quite some time. listening to this song reminds steph of all her loved ones. so this song is dedicated to all of them, hoping that everyone's still doing fine. most imptly, she misses all of them. (: No Secrets: I'll Remember YouIt has been so long since we have talked I hope that things are still the same hoping they will never change cause what we had can't be replaced don't let our memories fade away keep me in your heart for always You made me believe that I can do almost anything stood right by me through the tears through everything I'll remember you and baby that's forever true you're the one that I'll always miss never thought it would feel like this I'll be there for you no matter what you're goin' through in my heart you'll always be forever baby I'll remember you I promise you I won't forget the times we shared, the tears we cried You'll always be the sun in my sky It may be fate that brings us back to meet again someday Even though we go separate ways If the day should come when you need someone (you know that i'll follow) I will be there Don't ever let there be a doubt in your mind cause I'll remember you Labels: friends, song, work

knowing that i would most probably be lost on my way to attend the robinsons job training, i set off earlier so that i could have buffer time to find my way there. true enough, i really lost my way in changi. lols. im supposed to be at changi south st 2, i ended up in changi business park; where both places are at two opposite ends! -.-" in the end i took abt 1/2 an hr to 45 min to walk to the correct place. im just so dumb lar. arghhhh. i was alrdy given a map to follow but somehow, i guess maps are simply useless to me cuz i seriously have no sense of directions. lols. and while walking to the training place, there was this guy in front of me and straightaway, my instinct told me that he's also going to the same place as me. so i decided to take a risk and follow him. and luckily i made the right choice! if not, i guess i would've taken a cab alrdy. hahaha. and just when i finally reached where im supposed to be, i got to know that i had to punch card so that i can claim my money for the training hrs. and guess what, i didnt bring my punch card! cuz i seriously had no idea that i need it for the training. luckily there's this other guy who had an extra card and he save my day. phew~ and there was another 'surprise' for me at the training. guess wat, i saw george! this george that im talking abt is from my wisp class. i was so happy to see him lar. cuz most of the ppl came in as cliques cuz all of them applied for this job together; whereas my case was kinda like a last min thing. so i was practically alone there. so seeing george there realli brighten up my mood during the training. hahaha. and most imptly, george is going to be in centrepoint as well! so this means i won't be lost again on my first day of work cuz there will be someone going to work together with me! double thumbs up! :D i guess most ppl would think how would i get lost in centrepoint?? well, we staffs have to enter via some staff entrance thingy and blah blah blah, so its rather complicated. but now that george is going with me, i guess i dun hav to worry that much. hahaha. hopefully we will be posted to the same department although the chances are very very slim; they have employed almost 50 temp staffs for this one month assignment. lols. nonetheless, im still very happy cuz im not alone! :D oh ya! one last thing! bryan yee called me from aussie! :D thanks so much for the call bro! im really touched. (: and so sorry that i accidentally hung up the call! ooppss~~ sorry! :P Labels: friends, work

yesterday marked the end of my work at vivo's cocoa trees. although i was only there for around 2 wks, things were alright though, and made a couple of new friends. (: as for why i left, im simply lazy to elaborate the details. but overall, my 2 wks there were rather fun and i wanna thank my colleague for buying me donuts on my last day of work. (: for now, i'll be working at centrepoint's robinsons till mid may, afterwhich i'll most probably be working in suntec or tanglin mall's fat face if everything goes smoothly. and i guess my readers are probably confused by what im saying here?? haha. alright, here's the story: i went to apply for a place at suntec's fat face (a brand under robinsons group), and robinsons HR called me saying that after an interview with fat face's brand manager, i would be able to start work. but the manager is currently overseas and i've to wait for her to be back. and coincidentally, robinsons itself needs temp staff urgently till mid may and the HR asked me to help them for the time being while they help me make arrangements with fat face's brand manager. so that's how i end up in centrepoint's robinsons. (: and while waiting for bus 700 at interchange just now, memories of going to NP came into my mind. i recalled those days where shy, yx and me would meet up almost everyday at interchange to take bus 184 to school. we would sit at the seats and gossip all the way from interchange to school. hehehe. can u imagine we had actually done that for 3 consecutive years??!!! the stuffs that we've chatted are simply everything under the sun. and we seriously can talk ALOT. HAHAHHAHA. thinking back, i would say i've spent 3 fruitful years in NP, with so many events happening from yr 1 all the way till yr 3. starting from 1st day of orientation where everyone seemed to dislike tb10, till things took a drastic change on 2nd day of orientation where all of us opened up, especially vincent who finally showed his true self. hahahahaha. and so many other events; serve thai trip, baoc preparations, BA spin, HK study trip etc etc. there's simply too many to name. i guess i'll really miss the days in NP. (: hmmm, when it comes to life, i guess there will always be people entering and going out of our lives. so i guess that's what people always say, 'part and parcel of life'?? hmmmm.. life nowadays seems to be nothing other than rotting and working. cuz my life now is either working or rotting at home on my off days. and my biggest wish now is to see more $$$ in my bank account. im now solely relying on my hsbc work's pay and some of my own savings to survive. and tranport expenses are seriously killers, especially when i've got no more concession. can't imagine the transport fares increasing again. no wonder there's this saying 'the rich gets richer, and the poor gets poorer'. alright, i guess that's about it. one of my longest entry so far. shall update again if i've the time. last but not least, steph misses her loved ones. hope everyone's doing fine. what a day man. things didnt seem to go well at work today. when my supervisor wasnt around, all my work and transactions went smoothly. but whenever she came near me, i would just make some mistakes here and there in my work, and i ended up having to listen to her lectures. -.- ok nvm, i know its my fault for making mistakes in work. and when it came to closing, the first thing that happened was one visa receipt was missing, and we needed to keep that as a record cuz the customer's signature was on it. somehow, we just couldn't find it and there was no way we could get another copy of that. then, the next thing was, the cashier machine was short of money! luckily it was only $0.90 so it was ok to pay for that. but the worse has yet to come. just when we thought everything was finally ok, we realised none of us had the key to lock up the store! and that simply meant that we couldn't go home! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! those staffs who took the keys home didn't put them back into store, and there wasn't a single spare key in the store! in the end we had to wait for our supervisor to bring the key down for us. arghhhhhh. so damn pissed.
